My Integrative Health Journal

Exploring evidence-based and unconventional approaches to health, longevity, healing and wellbeing through real-world experimentation. Integrative Journal documents therapies, supplements, healing practices, scientific research and personal health experiments from across modern medicine and traditional systems. The goal is to understand what can genuinely help us live better and longer.

My name is April. I created Integrative Journal to document and investigate the therapies, ideas, products and practices I encountered while exploring health, longevity and integrative care. Much of modern healthcare focuses on disease management. Much of alternative health lacks rigour. My interest is in the space between those worlds.

Integrative Journal is organised as a growing directory of integrative therapies, lifestyle practices and health experiences. Each article combines personal experience with historical background, traditional perspectives, current scientific evidence and practical reflections to help readers better understand a particular therapy or approach. Topics include nutrition, fasting, herbal medicine, supplements, yoga, meditation, breathwork, movement, longevity, environmental health and integrative approaches to cancer support. The articles are intended to encourage curiosity, critical thinking and informed conversations with qualified healthcare professionals, rather than promote one-size-fits-all solutions. Every person is different, and what proves helpful, ineffective or unsuitable for one individual may not be the same for another. My aim is to provide an honest, balanced and transparent account of what I have explored myself, together with the research that helped shape my understanding, so you can decide which ideas are worth investigating further on your own health journey.
